Villoondi Theertham - is situated 7 km from the main temple on the way to Pamban.It is another sacred place among the several pious places of Rameshwaram. It is said to be the spot where God Rama buried his big bow and hence the name 'Villondi' meaning 'buried bow'. It is revered by the devotees of God Rama and is located on the road that goes to the chief Rameshwar temple; around 7 kilometers away as well as Pambam, another sacred place where Goddess Sita quenched her thirst after the arrow hit the sea.
