This is my second time with TripFactory. Although my first experience with them 6 years ago was not that great, this time everything went off well, except for a few minor instances which can happen inspite of proper planning. Nevertheless, it has been an exhilarating experience for us. A special shout out to Prabin, who was TripFactory's representative guiding us all along. He would reply to my messages anytime of the day without any delay, answer my calls spontaneously whenever I had a query, and always helpful every single time. A BIG THANK YOU to Prabin for being an awesome representative. You are an asset to this organization.
Pros- The hotels provided were good, especially at Gangtok. The driver was experienced and helpful. The facilities provided were very good. Prabin was just a call away, incase of any problems.
Cons - The hotel provided at Lachung for the first night was not good. The washroom was quite bad. We didn't mind much because next day we were given another hotel which was nice, but again there were some security issues at this place, There were no cameras installed in this hotel and there was an unidentified person that walked into the hotel and stole few things from someone's room. Now I'm not sure how all this happened and if it was true, cause at that time we were in the dining area having dinner. After we got back to our room which was on the ground floor, there was a commotion going on between the tourists staying there and the hotel staff, arguing about the incident. That got me a little nervous about the hotel. Apart from this, the hotel was clean and nice. The hotel staff were helpful.
Our itinerary included Lachen, but the road to Lachen was closed, and therefore we couldn't do any sightseeing there. We were transferred directly to Lachung for 2 nights instead of one night. A quick feedback about what could have been done in advance. Sikkim is a very unpredictable place in terms of weather conditions, and being a travel company there should always be Plan B ready to compensate for the sightseeing places that couldn't be covered, since all this has been paid for in the package. To compensate for this (after I questioned Trip Factory about this), we were upgraded to a better hotel in Lachung for that extra night. That was very thoughtful of them to do that. However, it was troublesome for us because we needed to unpack in one hotel for one night and again repack the next day to move to another hotel for the next day's stay at Lachung. So that was not something that we liked.
Again, as I mentioned earlier, unforeseen circumstances surface inspite of proper planning, but the things that can be controlled and planned in the beginning itself goes a long way for customer satisfaction.
With that being said, overall it was a wonderful trip and I thank TripFactory, especially Prabin for being a wonderful host and guide. I would definitely recommend them to everyone and I would surely use them again in the future for my travel.
