Varanasi, also known as Benares, Banaras or Kashi, is an Indian city on the banks of the Ganga in Uttar Pradesh. Varanasi is famous for its silk weaving and Banarasi silks are a part of every girl's wedding trousseau.
Day 01 : Arrival At Varanasi Airport – Allahabad
Arrival at Varanasi Airport and drive to Allahabad and overnight at Allahabad.
Day 02 : Allahabad To Gaya
a Half day excursion of Allahabad begins, Allahabad fort, the Ashoka pillar, temples and the Sangam (meeting point) of the three rivers- Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati (a mythological river). Allahabad or Prayag is an important pilgrimage center of the Hindus. It is one of the four venues of the "Kumbh Mela" and then drive to Bodhgaya via Varanasi.
Day 03 : Gaya Sightseeing
Half day Darshan / Rituals at Gaya and post lunch a visit to the Mahabodhi temple and other monuments and edifices associated with Buddhism and later departure to Railways station.
Day 04 : Bodhgaya To Patna
Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit Mahabodhi Temple. Leave Bodhgaya for Patna enroute visiting Rajgir and Nalanda. Rajgir is a site of great sanctity and significance for Buddhists. Afternoon visit Gridhakuta Hill, Bimbisara jail. Drive to Nalanda which is 14 kms drive and it was one of the oldest University of the World and International centre for Buddhist Studies. Drive to Patna which is 90 kms, on arrival at Patna transfer to railway station / airport to connect train / flight for Delhi.
