Day 1: Arrival At Bangalore & Half Day Garden Tour

  • Arrive at Bangalore Airport or Railway Station. Meet & Greet. Get transferred to hotel and relax. Bangalore is also known as "The Garden City". Visit the famous sites of this vibrant city to experience the electric mix of ancient and modern.
  • Lal Bagh- This botanical garden covers an area 240 acres in the heart of the city and has nearly 1,854 species of plants, a delight for photographers, also consists of the famous glass house where an annual flower show is held every year and is also a home to an aquarium and a lake.
  • Cubbon Park - Located in the heart of city and close to important administrative buildings like Central Public Library, Government Museum, Sir Vishweshwariah Industrial and Technological Museum, the Karnataka High Court, Venkatappa Art Gallery etc. Cubbon Park is home to more than 6,000 trees that support a vibrant ecosystem. Visit The Bangalore Aquarium, which is the second largest aquarium in India. Other major attractions include the lotus pond, Ringwood Circle, the bamboo groove nook and Dancing Fountain. The Toy Train at Cubbon Park in Bangalore is a wonderful way to explore the park.
  • Ulsoor Lake - Enjoy boating at one of the largest lakes in Bangalore, sit back and relax in the tranquil ambience of this place.
  • Return to hotel in evening. Overnight stay at Bangalore hotel.

Day 2: Transfer From Bangalore To Mysore Via Srirangapatna

  • Post breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Mysore (150Kms/3.5Hrs), popularly known as "The City of Palaces".
  • En route visit Srirangapatna located 18 km from Mysore. Srirangapatna is a small island formed by the river Cauvery and its tributaries. It was once the capital of the Mysore state under the legendary king Tipu Sultan and since then famous for its religious, cultural and historic importance. Prime attractions are Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple, Daria Daulat (Palace of Tipu Sultan) and Gumbaz (Mausoleum of Tipu Sultan).
  • Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple: A mesmerizing example of Hoysala and Vijayanagar architectural style, this temple was first built in 894 AD. It is one of the most important Vaishnavite shrines in South India.This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This idol is supposed to be the biggest statue of Vishnu in the reclining form (Adidesha) in Karnataka.
  • Tipu's Summer Palace: Also known as Daria Daulat Bagh. Tipu Sultan built this palace in 1784 and ruled Mysore from here for a short time after his father Hyder Ali wrested power from the Wodeyars in the middle of the 18th century. The palace is built in the Indo-Sarcenic style and in mostly made of teakwood. Its surrounded by a lush gardens on the southern bank of the river. The Daria Daulat Bagh palace is now converted in a museum and houses sketches, drawings, paintings along with block prints and Tipu's clothes.
  • Srirangapatna Fort: Known for its historical significance and architectural brilliance, this fort was originally built in 1454 AD. This Fort has four main entrances and has a double wall defence system, which is what makes it one of the toughest forts.
  • Gumbuz: Gumbaz is the Mausoleum of Tipu Sultan, his father Hider Ali and mother Fakr-Un-Nisa. Built in Persian style of architecture, Surrounded by beautiful garden named as Lalbagh, the imposing structure of Gumbaz is seen in the middle on an elevated platform.
  • On arrival at Mysore check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening visit Krishna Raja Sagara Dam built over the River Cauvery near to the conjunction of three rivers namely, Cauvery, Hemavathi & Lakshmana Thirtha. Get mesmerised by colorful & stunning Brindavan Gardens known for its symmetric design and illuminated terrace gardens. The main attraction at the Brindavan Gardens is the beautiful array of musical fountains. Coupled with laser lights, these fountains are synchronised to music and go live at the time when the garden is lit up.
  • Mysore is also a shopping destination. Explore shopping at the local market. Take home Mysore silk saris, Mysore sandalwood artefacts & handicrafts, incense sticks, coffee, wooden toys and traditional Mysore paintings called Ganjifa paintings.
  • Return back to hotel. Overnight stay at Mysore hotel.

Day 3: Full Day Palace & Grandeur Tour At Mysore

  • Mysore is the cultural capital of Karnataka with excellent architectures, historical sites, shrines and scenic beauty. Post breakfast proceed for full day local sightseeing covering Mysore Zoo, Mysore Palace, St. Philomena's Church, Chamundi Hills, Bull Temple & Jagmohan Gallery.
  • Visit the Mysore Zoo (closed on Tuesdays) - It was started by Chamaraja Wodeyar X initially as a private Zoo in 1892. It houses a wide range of animals and is one of the oldest zoos of the country. The Mysore zoo is the only zoo in India to have a Gorilla. The zoo is also a house to Chimpanzees and Orangutans. Other exotic animals found in Mysore zoo are Giraffes, Zebras, White Deer, African Elephants, Bears, Porcupines, Rhinoceros, Tapir, Otters etc.
  • Visit the famous Mysore Palace (or Maharaja's Palace). This historical, royal place of residence of the Wadiyars is a splendid architectural feat and houses artefacts from the historic times. The Palace is set in carefully laid out gardens. It is a beautiful three storied stone building of fine gray granite and rich pink marble domes, overlooking this structure is a five-storied 145 foot tower whose domes are gilded in gold. Entry to the palace is through "Gombe Thotti" or Doll's Pavillion with traditional dolls of different times displayed and a wooden elephant decorated with gold. The kingdom's motto, "never be terrified" is written in Sanskrit on the entrance gate and the arch.
  • Visit the famous Chamundi Hills, 3489ft above the sea levels and highest peak of Mysore housing the Chamundeshwari Temple, known for its amazing architecture and spiritual essence. Get a bird's view of entire Mysore city from the top of these hills. Visit Big Bull - about 16 feet in height and 24 feet long, this Nandi atop the Chamundi Hills is the third largest in India, carved in granite, black because of regular anointing with oil and other sacred waters.
  • Visit the beautiful Gothic architecture of St. Philomena’s Church. The twin towers of the church stand majestically at 175 feet, the design resembles St. Patrick’s cathedral at New York and Cologne Cathedral.
  • Visit Jaganmohan Palace, an art gallery built during rule of Krishnaraja Wodeyar III in 1861 displays largest collections of artefacts in South India.
  • Mysore is also an ideal shopping destination. Explore shopping at the local market. Take home Mysore silk saris, Mysore sandalwood artefacts & handicrafts, incense sticks, coffee, wooden toys and traditional Mysore paintings called Ganjifa paintings. Return back to hotel. Overnight stay at Mysore hotel.
  • Mysore Zoo is closed on Tuesdays

Day 4: Transfer From Mysore To Bangalore - Departure From Bangalore

After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed towards Bangalore airport / Railway station (150km/3.5hr) for your onward journey. Tour ends with lifetime memories.
