About the tour
Kurseong, south of Darjeeling, is the shy, often-overlooked little sister of the more glamourous. Queen of the Hills further up the track. Its name derives from the Lepcha word kurson-rip, a reference to the small white orchid prolific in this area. Surrounded by manicured Tea estates, it is also currently the southern terminus for the charming toy trains of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Arrival At Kurseong
Arrival at airport /railway station transfer to Kurseong. Evening enjoy the nature walk around beautiful Tea gardens and Toy train station.Overnight stay at Kurseong.
Day 2: Kurseong Siteseeing And Tea Gardens
After breakfast visit Dowhill, Forest museum and Eagles crag. It is at a high point and offers breathtaking view of the valley below. Tourists can also see the free flowing river Teesta from this point. After lunch visit nearby Tea estates. Overnight stay at Kurseong.
Day 3: Kurseong To Darjeeling
Morning transfer to Darjeeling. Enroute visit Mirik ,a natural water lake reflecting shadow of mighty Himalaya, surrounded by scenic Tea garden. On arrival Darjeeling check into your hotel , evening is free to enjoy the queen of Hills from famous Darjeeling mall.Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 4: Darjeeling Local Siteseeing
Early morning visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and capture the breathtaking sight of Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turns golden. Also visit Ghoom Monastery, the oldest monastery in the area which was built in 1875. Have a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel and proceed for city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mount Everest. Also visit Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock and Happy Valley Tea Estate (from outside). Overnight at Darjeeling.
Day 5: Departure To New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport
Transfer to New Jalpaiguri railway station/ Bagdogra airport for onwards journey with unforgettable memories of Kurseong and Darjeeling Hills.
