Cairo of Egypt is a magical blend between the sacred burial grounds of pharaohs and the advanced civilization of modern-day Egyptians. This eight-day tour focuses on the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World in Egypt: The Great Pyramids. We take you for a tour with professional, educated tour guides to enjoy the panoramic view of the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. We’ll make photo stops to snap along the way. We visit the Valley Temple, where the mummification process for kings took place, before we finally tour The Egyptian Museum for artifacts found inside the Tomb of Tutankhamun.

Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival In Cairo

Once you arrive at the airport in Cairo, our representatives will welcome and transfer you to your hotel to rest for a day.

Day 2: The Pyramids Of Giza, The Valley Temple And The Egyptian Museum

  • Enjoy your breakfast provided by the hotel before we take you to the Great Pyramids and visit several of the grand structures built by hands over 4,500 years ago. The tour gives you a closer look at three of the pyramids: the Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus pyramids. You’ll see why they’re dubbed one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
  • We’ll also visit the Valley Temple while in Chephren, where the purification and mummification of King Khafre and his family took place thousands of years ago before it was buried under the sand.
  • Then we will take you to the Egyptian Museum, where excavated 5000-year-old jewelry, artifacts, and artworks from the famed Tomb of Tutankhamen are displayed. The day ends as we take you back to the hotel to rest up for the next day. The tomb made headlines across the world in 1920 as the 3,500-year-old resting place was discovered almost fully intact. Day 3: Visit The Port City Of Alexandria, Board The Overnight Sleeper Train For Luxor

  • We travel to Alexandria for a whole-day tour that begins in the library of Alexandria, the world’s biggest library that store over 8 million books. Visitors can buy a ticket to enter the reading area.
  • Note that the Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays and on every public holiday.
  • Our next stop will be another of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Lighthouse of Alexandria that stands atop the Citadel of Qaitbay. The structure was a defensive fortress built in the 15 th century, overlooking the Mediterranean sea coast.
  • Then we visit King Farouk’s Royal Gardens, who’s also known as the last king of ancient Egypt. We take a stroll along the hallways of the Al-Haramlek Palace built in Montaza in 1925 by King Ahmed Fouad who commissioned Italian architect, Verocci. We’ll also look at the El-Salamlek Palace, a symbol of Alexandria.
  • Then we visit The Abbo Elabbas Mosque, a gorgeous mosque adorned with intricate designs and the Alexandria Naval Unknown Soldier Memorial for unnamed soldiers who lost their lives on naval battles. The statue of Alexander the Great is a close-by visit right before lunch.
  • We’ll visit the Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral, the oldest church in Africa found in 42 CE, before making a stopover at the famed bridge of Stanley. Then we visit the old downtown of Alexandria to see the former city-center of Alexandria that was built by Alexander the Great himself, before going back to the hotel to transfer your luggage to the sleeper train heading for Luxor. Enjoy a luxurious dinner aboard the train before retreating back to your cabin. (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 4: Arrival In Luxor, East Bank Of Luxor

  • Start the day with a breakfast on board before arriving at the East Bank of Luxor to visit the Karnak Temples which was built by a cult to worship to the gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu during the beginning of the Middle Kingdom. The site was deliberately torn down immediately after the builder, Amenhotep IV died.
  • Then we visit the Luxor Temple which construction started by Amenhotep III from the 18 th Dynasty of the New Kingdom and finished by the King Ramses II during the 19 th Dynasty. The temple was dedicated to the Theban Triad: Amun-Ra, the great Egyptian god, Mut, his wife, and Khonsu, their son. There we’ll see the Obelisk of Ramses II that was located near the 1 st Pylon meant to commemorate the king’s death. We’ll spend the night in a hotel in Luxor. (Breakfast)

Day 5: West Bank Of Luxor, Valley Of The Kings

We begin the day after a breakfast at the hotel with the Valley of the Kings, a location known as the burial ground of many kings. The tombs brag magnificent architecture, housing tombs of kings buried together with jewelry and artifacts. We’ll visit three of the tombs, before moving to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the daughter of Thutmosis I. She was the only queen of ancient Egypt who ruled for 20 years during the 18 th Dynasty. On the way to visit the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III, we’ll make a short stop at the Colossi of Memnon, before we return back to the hotel. (Breakfast)

Day 6: Visit Aswan By Car, Board The Overnight Sleeper Train For Cairo

  • We visit Aswan after a breakfast at the hotel and head for the Aswan High Dam, the world’s largest embankment dam. We’ll visit the Temple of Philae Island that was relocated from island of Philae which is now submerged in the water of the Lake Nasser, a reservoir, most of the year. The temple is now on the island of Agilkia which we’ll reach by boat.
  • Then we return back to the mainland and Aswan for a view of the High Dam. Enjoy a scenic route overlooking the Lake Nasser and short stops for photogenic spots before boarding the sleeping train for dinner and spending an overnight as it heads for Cairo.(Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 7: Arrival In Cairo, Free-day With Optional Activities, And The Sound And Light Show.

  • After breakfast, you’re given a free-day in Cairo. We offer Castle of Salah El Dien and Mohamed Aly Mosque destinations to visit, or you can opt for the Old Cairo Tour. After a relaxing day, we’ll take you to enjoy one last sight of the Great Pyramids during the Sound and Light Show in the evening.
  • You’ll spend your last night in Cairo (Breakfast)

Day 8: Departure From Cairo

We’ll fetch you by car from the hotel after breakfast to the airport and assist you through departure formalities until you board your plane. (Breakfast)

  • CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS
  • A reservation should be considered cancelled only after receiving our confirmation of such cancellation. If a cancellation is received less than 60 days prior to the arrival of passenger, the cancellation expenses will be charged according to the following table:
  • · 14 – 08 days before arrival: 50% of total price
  • · 07 – 00 days or if have no show of passenger: 100% of total price.
  • There will be no refund for unused services or changes in itineraries made by passengers without permission.
  • BAGGAGE
  • It is allowed 02 suitcase normal sized per passenger in all transports. Passenger shall be fully responsible for their luggage and personal belongings during the course of the trip. Regarding to land transport, luggage and other personal belongings should be kept with you, whatever part of the vehicle that will be placed and will be transported at the risk of the user. We recommend users are present in all manipulations of loading and unloading of baggage. Baggage on air transport, rail, sea or driving, conditions of transport companies will apply, being the ticket passage, the document binds the mentioned companies to the passenger. If client suffer any baggage damage, loss or delay, the passenger must present a claim against the Transport Company. For transport of large volumes of luggage such as bicycles, surfboards, etc, a supplement will apply (please consult). The tour packages in economy class can have a piece of 15kg in air transport. The company may charge a supplement or can refuse baggage that exceed this weight or parts. Recommended not to store valuables, medication, passport, documents or money inside baggage. If you want to have this procedure, make a statement before travelling.
  • TIPS / TAXES / TICKETS
  • Tickets to museums and sites during excursions are included. Not included any kind of tip, and the tips are at your discretion.
  • TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
  • Passenger must have valid passport, and visas for the countries that require them. Under 18 years old must have an authorization letter written and signed by their parents or guardians as such document can be requested by any authority. In the case of loss of a document for passenger such as hotel voucher, ferries tickets, air tickets, etc, we will not be held responsible and the penalty that will apply for a new booking and issuance of such documents.

  • We recommend for you to purchase full travel insure that will cover the entire cost of your trip in case cancellation, trip interruption for any reason, etc.
