Day 1: Arrival At Dibrugarh
Meet and greet upon arrival by The Cat Holidays representative. Check in at the hotel and freshen up. Then we take you on a tour, around a tea estate to learn all about tea, its origin, how it is grown and all about tea tasting and its quality. Thereafter drive on to the river front and take a boat cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra River in a country boat. Cruise up to a beach Island in the midst of the river. En-route there is a possibility of your sighting flocks of migratory water birds and the elusive Gangetic River Dolphin. Enjoy the view of the Eastern Himalayas and take a nature walk in the vast expanse of grasslands surrounding the island and enjoy your picnic lunch. Return to the mainland and visit the weaving centre to see traditional looms and the weaving of silk textiles of Assam, famous all over the world. Evening option to go for shopping. Overnight in Dibrugarh.
Day 2: Excursion To Digboi
After breakfast, excursion to Digboi. The oil city is nestled in the numerous tea gardens and mystic hills. Visit the hundred year old Refinery, the first refinery of Asia and is the world's oldest operating oil refinery. Other major destinations in and around Digboi are War Cemetery and 18 holes Golf Course. Later come back to hotel. Overnight in Dibrugarh.
Day 3: Dibrugarh To Tinsukia
After breakfast, excursion to Dibru Saikhowa. Dibru Saikhowa Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the least known, but potentially most rewarding of Assam’s national parks. One of the few remaining protected sites in the Endemic Bird Area of the Assamese Plains, the sanctuary is home to globally threatened specie. It is also home to some restricted-range species. Overnight at Tinsukia.
Day 4: Tinsukia To Jorhat
After breakfast leave to Jorhat. Enroute excursion to Sibsagar. It is the erstwhile capital of the Ahom Rulers is a beautiful town located around the huge artificial lake -Sibsagar tank and the Shiva Temple. Visit the archaeological remains, palaces and temples of the Ahoms - Charaideo, Gargaon Palace, Talatal Ghar, Rang Ghar and Kereng Ghar. Later back to Dibrugarh Hotel. Arrive and overnight at Jorhat.
Day 5: Visit Majuli Island
After breakfast, drive to Ferry Ghat to go to Majuli Island by crossing Brahmaputra River through a public ferry. Majuli Island, which is the second largest river island of the world. After sightseeing come back to Jorhat again by crossing Brahmaputra River. Overnight at Jorhat.
Day 6: Jorhat To Kaziranga
After breakfast drive to Kaziranga National Park, the home of "One Horned Rhinoceros". Check in at your hotel. Evening free for leisure or explore the local market. Overnight stay in Kaziranga. Optional: Bihu Dance could be organized on request.
Day 7: Visit Kaziranga National Park
Early morning explore any one zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of Elephant i.e. Elephant Safari (Optional: Unless it is mentioned in the inclusion). Return back to resort or hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga. Optional: Bihu Dance could be organized on request in the evening.
Day 8: Kaziranga National Park To Guwahati
After breakfast, transfer to Guwahati. Evening River Cruise at Brahmaputra River. Overnight in Guwahati. Optional: Boat Cruise at Brahmaputra River in the evening.
Day 9: Guwahati Sightseeing
After breakfast, full day sightseeing of Guwahati. Visit numerous temples - Maa Kamakhya, Sukreshwar, Umananda, Navagraha, Bashistha Ashram, Tirupathi Balaji and many more. Visit the Second world war Cemetery, State Museum, State Zoo and Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra (A museum of Assam diverse culture), Science Museum beside the temples. Evening could visit Guwahati market in Fancy Bazaar. Optional: Boat Cruise at Brahmaputra River in the evening. Overnight at Guwahati.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, return back to Guwahati Airport or Railway station for your departure. Your tour ends here with pleasant memories.
