Day 2: Explore Great Pyramids And Sphinx Of Giza - Half Day Tour

  • After breakfast, set out on a guided tour to the Great Pyramids of Giza (Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus), one of the Seven Wonders of the World, exploring the exterior areas of the Giza Plateau. Marvel at the sheer scale of these ancient structures, built from millions of massive stone blocks. Interior entry into any of the three pyramids is optional and requires a separate ticket, which can be purchased on site or pre-booked in advance.
  • A short distance away sits the Great Sphinx, a monument going back to Chephren's era around 2620 BC, the iconic statue with a Pharaoh's head and a lion's body, carved from natural limestone thousands of years ago. Before moving on, if time permits, there's a chance to stop at a papyrus institute or a perfume shop nearby before heading to lunch at a local restaurant.
  • The rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax, or you may choose to join an optional tour (at additional cost) to Memphis and Sakkara, where a knowledgeable Egyptologist will guide you through fascinating exhibits, including the famous statues of Ramses and the Step Pyramid. In the evening, you have the option to enjoy the sound and light show by the Sphinx (at additional cost), a memorable way to experience the site after dark.
  • Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
  • (Breakfast and Lunch)

Day 3: Grand Egyptian Museum Guided Visit - Half Day Tour

  • After breakfast, step into the world of ancient Egypt with a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to some of the era's most treasured artifacts. As you arrive, you'll pass through the grand atrium, take in the towering statue of Ramses II, and make your way up the Grand Staircase. From the staircase, you move into the exhibition halls, arranged both chronologically and by theme, where multimedia and immersive displays bring the exhibits to life beyond static viewing. Your tour offers a unique opportunity to see a selection of the museum's most impressive pieces, including magnificent statues, royal regalia, and ancient monuments. Your knowledgeable guide will lead you through this journey back in time, sharing insights on the treasures along the way.
  • Through the windows, enjoy a direct view of the Pyramids, connecting the museum experience with the ancient landscape just outside. Visit all major galleries, including the Tutankhamun exhibit, and take in the Solar Boats of King Cheops.
