Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: Arrival In Bangalore & Transfer From Bangalore To Hassan With Half Day Hassan Sightseeing

  • "Welcome at Bangalore & proceed to Hassan, noted for its enchanting natural scenic beauty is also a veritable treasure-house of Hoysala architecture and sculpture, the best specimens of which are at Belur and Halebeed.
  • En-route visit Shravanabelagola, a Jain pilgrim destination at an altitude of about 3350 feet above sea level famous for the monolith of Bahubali or Gommateshwara who was a King who renounced his kingdom and spent the rest of his life meditating till he attained Nirvana. The naked statue of Gommateshwara is 58 feet high and 26 feet wide and has 10 feet long feet. The statue was carved out of the black granite of the hill and is a picture of serenity and composure.
  • On arrival check in at hotel.
  • Later visit Hoysaleswara Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple was built during the 12th century and the Hoysala King Vishnuvardhana built it.
  • Chennakesava Temple is situated on the Yagachi River at Belur. Lord Vishnu is worshipped in this temple. The ornate gopurams in the Chennakesava temple are attractive. When one enters the temple, one gets a feel of the grandeur of the Hoysalas.

Day 2: Transfer From Hassan To Coorg With Half Day Coorg Sightseeing Via Kushalnagar

  • After Breakfast, checkout from hotel & and proceed to Coorg, located in the south-west part of Karnataka bordering Kerala. Coorg is one of India’s famous travel destination and has been called the Scotland of India by the British and also called as the Kashmir of South India. Coorg’s natural beauty, the people, the culture and the food is the major attraction which draws people towards Coorg from all over the world.
  • En-route visit Tibetan Golden Temple near Bailkoppa. This Tibetan settlement is the the second largest Tibetan settlement outside Tibet. There are over 7,000 monks and students at the Tibetan monastery. After the Chinese took over Tibet, the refugees were settled at Bylkuppe near Kushalnagar and the Buddhist Monastery was re-established here in 1972. The 40 ft tall golden Buddha statues are the major attractions of Bailkoppa. The statues of Buddha, Padmasambhava, and Amitayus are the notable ones. The walls of the temples and the institutions are decorated with colorful paintings depicting gods and demons from Tibetan Buddhist mythology. The altar is decorated with flowers, candles and incense sticks. Apart from the calm and peaceful surroundings there are shopping centers near the temples where one can shop for traditional Tibetan items like costumes, statues, carpets, jewelry etc.

  • Evening visit Raja’s Seat or the Seat of the King is a famous sunset point in Madikeri. It was once the platform from which the kings of Kodagu used to enjoy glorious sunsets. The spot got its name as it was the favourite recreational place for the kings. Raja’s seat stands inside a splendid garden of seasonal flowers and musical fountains. The garden becomes a colourful sight when the flowering plants are in full bloom. Today it is a famous destination of Madikeri that is visited by tourists throughout the year.

Day 3

Day 3: Coorg Full Day Sightseeing Tour With Talakaveri

  • Misty hills, lush forest, tea and coffee plantation, orange groves, undulating streets and breathtaking views make Coorg a popular holiday destination. Post breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing of Coorg.
  • Talakaveri/Talacauvery is one of the popular tourist spots in Coorg and located in the picturesque location of Brahmagiri hills. This beautiful place which is said to be the source of River Cauvery also has a small temple in its premises.
  • Triveni Sangam or Bhagamandala, symbolises merger of three rivers, as 'Tri' stands for three and 'Veni' stands for streams. This holy confluence brings Kaveri River, Kannike River and Sujyoti River together. Visit to the temple dedicated to Bhagandeshwara (Lord Shiva) and get the blessings of the lord.
  • Post lunch visit Abbey Falls - Located 8kms from Madikeri town. Abbey Falls is situated in the middle of coffee plantations and spice estates. It is one of the best waterfalls in Coorg region. Abbey Falls cascades down the rocky slopes from a height of 70 feet into a pool. A hanging bridge has been built across the gorge here, from where the visitors can get a beautiful view of the falls. A Kali Mata temple on the other side of the bridge is also not to be missed. The path leading to the waterfalls is filled with thick vegetation and offers wonderful experience.
  • Madikeri Fort (closed on Mondays) - Still preserving its old charm, Madikeri Fort is one of the most famous historical landmark located in Coorg. An excellent example of spectacular architectural designs and styles of construction, the fort also houses Madikeri Fort Museum & the Kote Maha Ganapathi Temple. The elevated structures of the fort also provide panoramic views of the town, which is undoubtedly breathtaking and beautiful.
  • Sri Omkareshwar Temple - The Omkareshwara Temple is an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is situated in the town of Madikeri. The speciality of the temple is that its construction reflects a mix of Gothic and Islamic styles.
  • Raja's seat - The Raja’s Seat, which means the “Seat of Kings”, is a brick and mortar structure with four pillars. It is a popular viewpoint inside a splendid garden of seasonal flowers and musical fountains. The best time to visit Raja's Seat is during the early morning and evening hours to witness breathtaking views of Sunrise & Sunset. There is also an attraction of the Toy Train for children to enjoy a spectacular view of the mountains.
  • Later proceed to hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Coorg hotel .
Day 4

Day 4: Transfer From Coorg To Bangalore & Departure From Bangalore

After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Banagalore Airport / Railway station (267km/6hr) for onward journey. Tour ends with lifetime memories.
