Vietnam, located at the eastern edge of Southeast Asia, is one that is shrouded in mysteries and the unknown simply because not many have tried exploring this beautiful nation. It borders with China to the north, Laos and Cambodia to the west, and has one of the most rapid-growing economy in Southeast Asia. It has survived a gruesome history of war and today, a beautiful nation with many things to show. You’ll land in Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam and the largest city of the country. The tour begins with the Temple of Literature, Quoc Tu Giam, the first Imperial Academy of Vietnam that has stood since 1070, dedicated to Confucius and other scholars. Then to One Pillar Pagoda which is a landmark that was originally a Buddhist temple built in the shape of a lotus flower. The nearby Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is the final resting place for the former president of Vietnam that fought for the nation’s independence and united the country. Learn about the 54 recognized ethnic groups of Vietnamese at the Museum of Ethnology, and their traditional art form by watching the Water Puppet Show at Old Quarter. Then we head to the beautiful Halong Bay, the beach where dragon descended. This famous Southeast Asian beach remains as a popular tourist destination for reasons that are obvious when you see it. There are grottos to explore, beach to play at, and rivers to cruise in kayaks. We’ll explore the islets here before moving on to Saigon where we’ll visit the longest river of Southeast Asia, Mekong River, and head to My Tho which is the economy hub of the region. They’re famous for their local products and we’ll hop on a cruise through the Mekong River that’ll slowly bring us to the local factories where delicacies such as coconut candies and rice paper are made. We’ll also visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda as the final destination of the trip, a temple that’s designed in a unique mix of Asian styles with hints of French, reconnaissance era. This is going to be a beautiful trip with memories to remember.
