This region is steeped in religion and mythology and every year hundreds of pilgrims traverse some of the remotest and toughest regions of the Himalayas to pay their obeisance to the Lord. It is a land where Lord Shiva lives with his consort Parvati. According to ancient religious texts,the abode of creator Brahma is called Brahmaloka,the abode of Lord Vishnu is called Vaikunta abd the abode of Lord Shiva is called Kailash.

Day 1: Arrive To Kathmandu.

Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu airport, our tour representative will meet you and assist you in smooth transfer to the hotel. Later, check-in at the hotel pre-decided for your stay. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll to explore the nearby areas of Kathmandu. Later, return back to the hotel for a lavish dinner and night stay.

Day 2: Kathmandu Local Sightseeing.

Early morning, after breakfast, proceed to visit the Pashupatinath & Boudhanath Temple, return back to the hotel for lunch. After lunch group will departure to Kodari.2500m – 130km (Nepal-China Border) by private tourist coach. Overnight stay at Guest house.

Day 3: Drive From Kodari To Nyalam (3700m) 35 Km / 2 Hrs.

Drive from Kodari to Nyalam (3700m) 35 Km / 2 hrs.Early mornings after breakfast at 8am Chinese border formalities and passes through.

Day 4: Nyalam (3700m).

On the 4th day, the day is free to relax and acclimatize to the high altitude conditions. In the evening, take a leisurely walk to explore the place for its mesmerizing and alluring beauty. Later, return back to the guesthouse for a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Drive To Dongba (4250m) 332km / 7-8 Hrs.

Post breakfast in the morning, get ready to start with the first longest driving day of the trip. While driving through the winding roads drive past beautiful lakes, Peku-Tso and Labug-La. In the afternoon, you will cross the Brahmaputra River before reaching Dongba. Dinner and overnight stay at the guest house.

Day 6: Dongba / Paryang (4500mts. - 335kms) To Mansarovar

After breakfast in the morning, take a road trip from Dongba to Mansarovar. Following a seven hour long drive, reach Mansarovar. Here you will attend the Pooja and Havan at the holy Mansarovar Lake. On your first day at Mansarovar Lake, stay in the well equipped tents located on the banks of the lake. Dinner will be served at the tents.

Day 7: Hawan At Manasarovar (4500m) And Drive To Darchen- 60km.

In the morning, the Tibet Tours staff will set up private bathing tent on the shores of Lake Manasarovar for the traditional sacred bath most pilgrims perform before circumambulating the holy mountain. We then perform puja and hawan on the banks. After lunch, one hour drive to Darchen.

Day 8: Drive To Darboche (8 Km) Trek To Diraphuk (4800m)-12km

The day 8 is the first day of Kailash Parikrama. Post breakfast, you will start your journey. Today the travelers will be required to walk for about 6 to7 hours continuously. After driving to Yumdwari, our journey starts. Overnight stay at Diraphuk in tent.

Day 9: Trek Over The Dolma La Pass- 5650m To Zutulphuk Gompa (4790m) -22km- 9-10hrs

On the 9th day of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, you will be required to cross Dolma-La Pass. The erratic weather conditions in Doma-La Pass and at any time snowstorm can fall. Therefore, it is advisable to start your journey as early as possible. On the way, you can have Darshan at Gaurikund but it is very difficult to go and touch. Stay overnight in tent at Zuthulphuk.

Day 10: Zhulthulphuk To Paryang

In the morning, after enjoying the Darshan of the east face of Kailash, enjoy a trek to Kuber Kund, the famous Lake. Later, enjoy trekking trip to Zhulthul Park. Upon reaching Zhulthul park, trek down to reach Darchen and drive towards Mansarovar. Take a dip in the spiritual water from the Mansarovar Lake which is kept in every home and used in various religious practices. In the latter half of the day, trek back to Kathmandu following the same route. Upon arrival in Paryang, enter into our guesthouse for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Paryang To Nyalam

In the morning, after breakfast, take a road trip to reach Nyalam. This will be your last day in the Tibet part. Upon arrival in Nyalam, stay at one of our listed accommodation options. Dinner and overnight stay is scheduled at the guesthouse.

Day 12: Nyalam To Kathmandu

Post breakfast in the morning; move out to fulfill the custom formalities. After completing the custom formalities, get into the car and drive back to Kathmandu. The journey is a 5 hour long drive to reach Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will celebrate our successful trip with a banquet for all yatris (pilgrims). check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 13: Departure

In the morning, after breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive towards airport to board flight for your onward journey.

Additional sightseeing or extra usage of vehicle, other than mentioned in the itinerary. Personal horse riding charges during Kailash Parikrama or Yak or horse cost for personal riding. Extra rooms bills due to flight delays due to weather conditions. Camera fees. Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances, etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot). Any increase in taxes or fuel price, leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure. Insurance. Evacuation cost. Anything which is not mentioned in the above mentioned Itinerary & Inclusion. Government Service Tax.

  • We will endeavor to make your journey smooth and pleasant as possible. However the entire program in Tibet is conducted strictly under the rules and regulations of China Tibet Tourism Bureau, Peoples Army and Foreign Affair. Therefore, Tibet Tours & Travels & its related organizations will not be responsible for any changes in the itineraries due to unavoidable circumstances such as Government restriction, land slide, road blockage, flood, snow, and Political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay, Delay due to shortage of Land Cruiser Jeep in Tibet, sickness or Accident. Any extra cost including there shall be borne by traveler themselves.
  • Document:
  • Minimum 6 months valid passport and two copies of pp size photograph. A normal health certificate from your personal doctor to those are 50 years and above by age.
  • Fitness:
  • This is not a trek or expedition but a tour; therefore no specific level of fitness is required. Anybody can join this Yatra if they think themselves fit and have strong willpower. People suffering from cardiac or respiratory problems should consult to their doctor. Morning and evening walks, jogging, stretching, meditation and regular exercise make the journey comfortable for all.
  • Clothings:
  • As the temperature varies greatly between day and night (from max. 20 degrees Celsius to min. -16 degrees Celsius) one should prepare accordingly.
  • Bring the following items with you:
  • Woolen gloves, Balaclava, Sun hat, Thermal wear, Water bottle, Woolen socks, Towel, Light Jacket, Sunglasses, Sun cream, Torch with extra batteries/bulbs, Muffler, Mask, Raincoat, Sweater, Shirt/T-shirt & Trekking shoes
  • Insurance:
  • Full travel insurance coverage for medicine, Helicopter evacuation if in case of emergency, lost of belongs, and trip cancellation is strongly recommended.
  • Trip booking:
  • Minimum 40 days advance booking is required to arrange visa approval and Travel permit issue. We need 50% advance of tour payment by bank while booking trip.
  • Schedule is subject to change under unavoidable circumstances. Tibet Tours & Travels have right to change date and cancel trip incase unfavorable situations.
  • Chinese visa application:
  • 1 week before original passport and 2 pp sizes photo should reach our office in Delhi.
  • Yatri those are above 70 yrs may reject visa by Chinese Authority.
  • Illegal: 500 and 1000 notes from India is illegal to bring in Nepal; it can be confiscated at airport.
