Kaziranga National Park is one of the prides of India. Kaziranga is the place where the nature unwinds its pristine form in millions of hues, where wildlife roams fearlessly, where man and nature meets together. This prestigious national park of India is situated in the north eastern part of the country in the district of Golaghat and Nagoan in the state of Assam
Day 1: Arrival At Guwahati And Transfer To Kaziranga
Arrive Guwahati airport and transfer to Kaziranga .Check into hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga. This is for your information that elephant ride and jeep safari and forest entry are regulated and controlled by the forest department govt of Assam. As such we do not have any control for booking of elephant seats and entry by jeeps
Day 2: In Kaziranga National Park
After an early wake up, you will be taken to the riding point for an Elephant ride. After the ride return back to the hotel after having breakfast at leisure. Afternoon enjoy the park on a Jeep. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Day 3: Kaziranga To Shillong
After breakfast drive to Shillong. Check into hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong
Day 4: Shillong To Cherrapunjee And Drive Back To Shillong
After breakfast you will be traveling to Cherrapunjee the wettest place on the earth. Enroute visit the famous Elephant falls and Shillong peak to enjoy a bird’s eye view of Shillong city. At Cherrapunjee visit Mawsmai cave, Mawsmai falls, Seven sisters falls and Nohkalikai falls. After lunch at Cherrapunjee, visit Thankarang park, Koh Ramhah and Khrem falls. Drive back to Shillong for overnight halt. Note: Most of the waterfalls are dry during winter season. Note: It is advisable to carry packed lunch.
Day 5: Shillong To Guwahati
After breakfast drive to Guwahati. Check into hotel. Later visit Kamakhya temple it is situated at the top of the Nilachal hill at about 800 feet above the sea level. The entire temple complex not only comprises of many other temples but also a whole set of people connected with them. Apart from the main Devi temple, it also comprises of some other major temples of Devi Kali, Tara, Bagala, Chinnamasta, Bhuvanesvari, Bhairavi and Dhumavati. Also visit Sankardev Kalakhetra located in a beautifully landscaped setting and inaugurated in 1998, is a multi-arts complex showcasing the rich culture of the state. Named after the most honored Vaishnava saint and the greatest integrator of Assamese society Srimanta Sankardeva, the Kalakshetra houses a Central Museum where objects and day-to-day articles used by different ethnic groups are exhibited. It preserves the cultural identity of various communities and tribes of Assam by promoting dance, drama, music and art. There is also an artists’ village that creates the atmosphere of a typical Assamese community, the Lalit-Kala Bhavan art gallery where exhibitions, art and sculpture workshops are also held, a Heritage Park, an open-air theatre with the capacity to hold 2,000 people, a traditional Vaishnavite temple and the Sahitya bhavan library of rare books and manuscripts. Day 6: Departure To Guwahati Airport
After breakfast transfer to Guwahati airport.
