This is a honeymooner itinerary that combines best of Lake, Hills and Riverside experiences with an element of wildlife thrown in.
Day 01 : Arrive At Bhimtal
Arrive at Bhimtal (4000+ ft asl), a lakeside destination renowned for its tranquility, wooded walks and bird watching.
Day 02 : In And Around Bhimtal
Explore area around (Wooded Walks, Trek, Bird watching, Boating) the lakes and enjoy lakeside character. Guests can visit other lakes like Sattal and Naukuchiatal.
Day 03 : Excursion To Nainital
Day excursion to Naintal visit Nainadevi temple and other sightseeing places like High Altitude Zoo, Hanuman Garhi, Naina Peak or take a cable car ride to visit snow view point.
Day 04: Bhimtal To Almora
Proceed to Almora (6500+ ft asl, 60 kms - 2 hrs). Almora is a Himalayan hamlet excellent for walks, treks and offers excellent Himalayan views in Winter (Oct - March). Enroute guests can visit Jageshwar Shiva Temple complex (requires 30 kms one way detour). Jageshwar is believed to be the site of first of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The temple city comprises a cluster of 124 large and small stone temples, dating 9th to 13th century AD, with many preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
Day 05 : In And Around Almora Or A Village Walk
After breakfast, half day sightseeing tour visiting Katarmal ancient temples such as Sun temple, Chitai temple, Banari Devi in the area. Guests can also visit Deer Park near Almora and Binsar sanctuary (22 kms from Almora) for walking and bird watching. Experiential travellers prefer to opt for a village walk around the area.
Day 06 : Almora To Corbett
Proceed to Corbett (150 kms - 5 hours) via Ranikhet. Guests travelling in Summer stopover at Ranikhet visiting Apple orchards.
Day 07: Morning And Evening Safaris
Morning and Evening safaris in Corbett. Bijrani, Durgadevi, Sitabani and Jhirna are 4 ranges. Based on area of interest (Bijrani is best for having a chance to sight a tiger. Sitabani and Durgadevi are good for Bird watching) and location of the jungle lodge one can pick.
Day 08 : Departure
Depart for onward journey.
