Day 1

Day 01: Guwahati – Shillong (130 Kms / 3 ½ Hrs Drive)

  • Arrive Guwahati Airport / Railway Station……..your tour begins in the beautiful North East!!!! Our local office representative shall meet & greet you @ airport / station & you shall be transferred to Shillong. Enroute visit UMIUM LAKE - more popularly known as Barapani, this is the biggest artificial lake in the State. Surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies is the majestic Umiam lake. Developed upon the reservoir of the Umiam Hydro Electric Project, the Water Sports Complex provides a choice of row-boats, paddle-boats, cruise boats, sailing boats, water scooters and speed boats.
  • Later on arrival in Shillong, check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 2

Day 02: Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong (60 Kms / 2 Hrs-one Way)

  • Morning after breakfast, proceed for an excursion to CHERRAPUNJEE,, blessed with many breathtaking views of nature in her pristine beauty with cool springs, mind soothing waves of thick green jungle foliage, gurgling mountain streams finding their way through rocks, enthralling milky white waterfalls leaping into deep gorges in a thunderous applause to the record-breaking rainfall that resounds through the valley. Cherrapunjee has the distinction of being the wettest place on Earth, having the highest recorded rainfall, year after year.
  • Later return back to Shillong. Evening visit Local markets in Shillong (BARA BAZAAR and POLICE BAZAAR) for the best shopping experience.
  • Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 3

Day 03: Shillong – Bhalukpong (350 Kms /7 1/2 Hrs Drive)

  • Morning after breakfast drive to Bhalukpong. Located in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, it is popular among tourists because of the scenic views and abundant natural beauty that it provides, and because of its location, away from the mainland. Bhalukpong serves as an exotic getaway. You can take a walk down the riverside, as the Kameng river flows along the town’s perimeter.
  • On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Bhalukpong

Day 04: Bhalukpong – Dirang (185 Kms / 6 1/2 Hours Drive)

  • Morning after breakfast drive to Dirang. Enroute visit TIPPI ORCHID CENTRE – Arunachal Pradesh is known for its rich orchid flora and has more than 500 species of orchids. Check in Hotel on arrival at Dirang - north eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh boasts of picturesque natural beauties with snow wrapped mountains, roaring rivers, lush green valleys and its huge collection of flora and fauna. It is very popular for its hot water springs, sheep rearing farms and apple orchards. The hot water springs are considered holy by some who travel to them for a dip.

Day 05: Dirang –tawang (155 Kms/ 6 Hrs Drive)

  • Morning after breakfast drive to Tawang. Enroute witness the snowcapped SELLA PASS at 14000 ft it is the second highest motorable road in India. and the JASWANT GARH MEMORIAL. Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee -Posthumous) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles, fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place.
  • Check in Hotel on arrival at Tawang - The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the “GALDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” Monestary - one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sect in Asia . The birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama, the Monastery is 400 year old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 mts gives you unparallel purity of nature. Day 06: Tawang

  • Morning after breakfast, visit the MONASTERY - The Tawang Monastery stands on the start of a hill, about 10,000 ft above sea level and has ravines in the south and west, narrow ridge on the north and a gradual slope on the east.
  • It offers an imposing and picturesque view of the Tawang-Chu valley. The monastery appears like a fort from a distance, as if guarding the admirers in the wide valley below. Also visit the WAR MEMORIAL - a 40 foot high multi-hued memorial, has a structure constructed in stupa design. Dedicated to the martyrs of Sino-India War held in 1962, this memorial is nestled among beautiful peaks, which overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley. Popularly known as Namgyal Chorten, the memorial has names of 2,420 dead soldiers.

Day 7

Day 07: Tawang – Bomdila (180 Kms / 6 Hours)

  • Morning after breakfast drive back to Bomdila - Hooked in the amongst the mighty mountainous ranges of Himalaya, Bomdila in Arunachal Pradesh is a mini paradise, with its Apple orchards, Buddhist gomphas and a magnificient view of the Kameng Valley.

Day 08: Bomdila - Kaziranga (270 Kms / 7 1/2 Hrs)

  • Morning after Breakfast drive to Kaziranga - Declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985 for its unique natural environment KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK is situated in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of Assam. It is one of the last areas in eastern India undisturbed by a human presence. It is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds.

Day 09: Kaziranga Local

  • Early morning go for ELEPHANT RIDE @ 5AM. This is one of the most enjoyed safari to explore the wide varieties of wildlife in the Kaziranga National Park. The vast area covered by the Elephant Grass can be best viewed when you are on an elephant's back. The elephant ride is best enjoyed in the early hours of dawn. Return for Breakfast JEEP SAFARI in the Central Range. Jeep safaris last for 3-4 hours. The main attraction of it is one horned rhinoceros with wild buffalo, Elephant, tiger a variety of deer, Bear, Python, and prehistoric looking monitor lizard. The Kaziranga wildlife is also adorned with the crested serpent eagle, Pella's fishing eagle and Grey headed fishing Eagle with a number of other Bird species like the Jungle fowl, Bengal florican and water fowl, goose, a large number of pelicans, Black naked stork, Snake Bird and so on.
