The Ladakh mountain range separates the Indus valley, with Leh, from the Nubra and Shyok valleys and Pangong Lake. Access to these remote valleys is via one of three passes, all over 5200 m high. The Nubra and Pangong area is certainly as scenic as the classic route Manali-Leh but is much easier to ride for various reasons.
