Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Arrival At Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station
On arrival, you will meet our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Darjeeling. On reaching, check into your hotel, unpack and relax. Evening is free for personal activities. Overnight stay at hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 2: Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and capture the breathtaking sight of Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turns golden. Also visit Ghoom Monastery, the oldest monastery in the area which was built in 1875. Have a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel and proceed for city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mount Everest. Also visit Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock and Happy Valley Tea Estate (from outside). Retire comfortably for the night at the hotel.
Day 3: Darjeeling To Kalimpong
After breakfast transfer to Kalimpong where on arrival check into your hotel. After lunch enjoy half day tour of Kalimpong visit Delo Hills, Dr. Graham’s Home and flower Nurseries back to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel at Kalimpong.
Day 4: Kalimpong To Gangtok
After early breakfast drive to Gangtok. On arrival check into your hotel. Evening enjoy the beauty of Gangtok from M.G.Marg and nearby areas. Overnight stay at hotel in Gangtok.
Day 5: Excursion To Tsomgo Lake And Baba Mandir
Enjoy a warm breakfast at the hotel and proceed for a full day excursion to Changu Lake which is 35 kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows off the surrounding mountains. Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the lake’s waters. Also visit Baba Mandir (In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing). Overnight stay at hotel in Gangtok.
Day 6: Gangtok City Tour
After breakfast proceed for a city tour visiting Banzakhri Falls, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Flower show, Dro-dul Chorten and Institute of Tibetology (maximum 3-4 hours). Evening free for shopping and other activity. Overnight stay at hotel in Gangtok.
Day 7: Departure To Bagdogra Airport
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri in time for flight / train for your onward journey.
