Day 01: Arrive Madrid
Arrive Madrid, the capital of the Spanish Empire. Madrid was once the richest and most powerful city in the world. If you are looking for culture, you have definitely come to the right place. The museums of the “golden triangle” alone, namely the Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen- Bornemisza, feature a stunning array of paintings ranging from Old Masters to modern surrealists all housed in some of Spain's most magnificent buildings. But Madrid is not just a cultural destination, it is also a lively metropolis with many pubs, cafes, discotheques and nightclubs open late into the night. Day 02 : Madrid Sightseeing
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a visit to the magnificent Royal Palace followed by a panoramic city tour. The Royal Palace is a beautiful example of 18th century architecture and is one of the best preserved palaces in Europe. It is one of the most beautiful examples of royal residence style and has become the permanent symbol of Madrid as the political capital of the Kingdom. The most important official receptions of the Crown take place here including audiences, gala dinners and the signature of important agreements. Visit the principal staircase, rooms of alabarderos, columns, throne, Gasparini, Carlos III, porcelains, gala dining room, museum of silver, musical instruments, principal courtyard, real chapel and the four new rooms. Continue by coach for a panoramic tour to see some of the different areas of Madrid from the Borbones, Austrias, Isabelino and contemporary quarters through to the Moorish Quarter. Day 03 : Madrid Sightseeing
After breakfast at the hotel, day is free to explore the city of Madrid on your own or you can take an optional half day tour to the city of Toledo - Toledo is a city of great artistic beauty. It was once the capital of the country and is now one of the oldest cities in Europe. During a walking tour of the city centre, visit the city's most famous monuments such as St. Tome Church, Santa Maria la Blanca Synanogue, the Victorio Macho Museum and San Juan de Los Reyes Church. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04 : Depart Madrid
After breakfast, transfer on your own to the airport for your flight back home or onward destination.
