Darjeeling District is the northern most district of the state of West Bengal in eastern India in the foothills of the Himalayas. The district is famous for its beautiful hill stations (often referred to as the Queen of the Hills) and Darjeeling tea. Darjeeling is the district headquarters. Kalimpong, Kurseong and Siliguri, three other major towns in the district, are the subdivisional headquarters of the district.

Day 01 : New Jalpaguri Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport- Darjeeling (7380 Ft / 2250 Mts, 105 Kms / 3½-4 Hrs)
On arrival at New jalpaguri railway station / Bagdogra Airport you will be received by our office executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Darjeeling (7380 Ft / 2250 Mts, 100 Kms / 3 Hrs). Upon arrival proceed for check-in at hotel. The evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 02 : Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning excursion to Tiger Hill (8364 Ft / 2550 Mts) at around 3:45am for viewing sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (if the weather is favorable), Ghoom Monastery, Peace Memorial, and Batasia Loop. After breakfast at the hotel you will depart for half day city tour of Darjeeling. This includes sightseeing at Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tenzing and Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (closed on Sundays), Peace Pagoda. Day 03 : Darjeeling Sightseeing – Mirik Excursion (5800 Ft / 1768 Mts / 60 Kms / 1½-02 Hrs)
After breakfast at a hotel, you head towards Mirik via Pashupati Nagar, Indo-Nepal Border (Extra vehicle charges will be applicable for Nepal Border to Pasupati Market) for shopping and recreation. Return to Darjeeling in the evening and overnight stay at hotel.
Mirik: A small sleepy town built around the 1.25 kilometer long man made Sumendu Lake. The pristine lake is surrounded by high forested hills, tea gardens, orange orchards and cardamom plantations. Horse riding and Boat is available around the lake on direct payment basis.
Day 04 : Darjeeling-gangtok (5500 Ft /1677 Mts/135 Km/3-3½ Hrs)
After breakfast at a hotel you will be transferred to Gangtok. Upon arrival proceed for check-in at hotel. The evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 05 : Gangtok Local Sightseeing
After breakfast at hotel you will depart for half day city tour of Gangtok. This includes Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Research Institute of Tibetology, Dro-drul Chorten (Stupa, built by the venerable Trulshi Rimpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism, in 1945), White Hall, Enchey Monastry, Flower Show, Ban - Jhakri Waterfalls (Ban literally means forest or jungle, and Jhakri means healer), Rumtek Monastery (the seat of the Karmapa Rimpoche, head of the Karmapa sub-sect of the Kargyudpa order of Tibetan Buddhism), View Point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok and Tashi View Point. Day 06 : Excursion To Tshangu Lake And Baba Mandir (12400ft / 3780 Mts / 43kms / 2hrs)
After breakfast at hotel you will depart for full day sight seeing of Tshangu Lake and Baba Mandir. Return to Gangtok in the evening for an overnight stay at hotel.
Tshangu: is one of the most popular destinations for tourists; it is located at 43 km from Gangtok. The lake is about 1km long, oval in shape, 15 metres deep and is considered sacred by the local people. This placid lake remains frozen during the winter months. On the way to the Lake, you will enjoy beautiful scenery and snow capped mountains. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around.
