Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival In Gangtok

Upon your meet and greet with our representative at Bagdogra Airport or at NJP Railway Station, a transfer will be arranged to the peaceful hill station of Gangtok (130 kms / 5 hrs). Check in at your hotel in this beautiful destination and start to get familiar with your surroundings. In the evening, set out on a shopping spree along the roads of main market area M.G Marg. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day Exursion To Tsangu Lake & Baba Madir

  • After breakfast, prepare for a full day excursion to glacial Tsomgo Lake (12,310 feet), and the temple of Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir (a very holy site for all) - at a short distance of only 40 kms from Gangtok.
  • Home to the Brahmini ducks and many migratory birds, the 1 kilometer long lake is oval shaped and nearly 50 feet deep. The surface reflects different colours with change of seasons and is held in great reverence by the local Sikkimese folk. Spend the evening in Gangtok for some recreational activities such as shopping and a delicious local dinner. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
  • In case of Land slide or any reason Tshangu Lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing.
  • NRI, OCI, PIO Card holder & Foreign National are not allowed to visit Baba Mandir & Nathula Pass. They are allowed to visit till Tshangu Lake, with a valid permit. They also have to be 02 & above is number to visit Tshangu Lake.

Day 3: Gangtok Day Tour

After breakfast, get ready for sightseeing tour of Gangtok. Some of the places visited are Rumtek Monastery, Jhakri Water Fall, Do-rul Chhorten, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (Closed on Sunday), Institute of Tibetology, a world famous institute doing research on Tibetan language and culture, with also a great museum and library with rare and huge collections (closed on Sunday and all Government holidays) and Flower Show. Overnight at Gangtok.

Day 4: Transfer From Gangtok To Pelling

After Breakfast transfer to Pelling (6000 ft / 118 kms / 4 hrs). Check in to your hotel and get familiar with your surroundings. Your evening is free for leisure.

Day Excursion To Yuksom

After breakfast we drive to Yuksom (5840 Ft / 1780 Mts, 35 Kms / 02 Hrs) on way panoramic sightseeing of Darap Village, Rimbi Water fall & Khecheopalri Lake (6000 Ft / 1829 Mts), it is one of the sacred Buddhist mountain lake and it is believed that whatever is wished in front of the lake comes true. Myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface, it is picked by a bird & Kanchanjunga Water fall. The routes are forested and the botanical and zoological richness is inspiring. A further drive takes you to Yuksom (the meeting place of three monks) - the first capital of Sikkim. This was the place where the first Chogyal (a ruling dynasty in Sikkim) was crowned. Evening Back to Pelling and Overnight at Hotel.

Day 6: Transfer From Pelling To Darjeeling

After breakfast transfer to Darjeeling (7380 Ft / 2250 Mts, 125 Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs). Check in and Overnight at Hotel.

Day 7: Darjeeling Full Day Sightseeing Tour With Tiger Hill

  • Spend your day today witnessing a magnificent sunrise over the Himalayas and exploring local tourist attractions. To watch the blaze of rapidly changing colors of the snow peaks as the sun strikes, set out early in the morning, before dawn (4 am), to the highest point in Darjeeling Tiger Hill (2590 m) - for views of a breathtaking sunrise and its reflection rays over the Kanchenjunga Ranges and other impressive Himalayan peaks. On the way back to your hotel, visit Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery. Expected arrival time at hotel: 7 am.
  • After freshening up and a hearty breakfast at your hotel, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Tuedays), Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Darjeeling Ropeway Ride (Ticket cost not included & will be approx INR 180.00 per person), Tenzing - Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre (closed on Sundays), Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, and panoramic view of Tea Estate. End your lovely city tour day with an overnight stay at hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 8: Departure From Darjeeling

After you have finished your breakfast, a transfer will be arranged to Bagdogra Airport/ NJP Railway Station from the hotel (distance from Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport: 110 kms/3 hrs). Your tour in Darjeeling has ended. Let the memories begin!
