Day 1: Arrive Helsinki
On arrival, transfer independently to your hotel (or include an optional transfer from the airport). Check in is guaranteed after 4 p.m., in case of earlier arrival, the hotel can assist with luggage storage. Depending on your arrival time, the afternoon is at your leisure. In the evening, meet your tour leader at 6 p.m., at the hotel lobby. The tour leader will be with you for the entire tour. Dinner at Indian restaurant. MEALS: Indian dinner
Day 2: Helsinki - Overnight Cruise To Sweden
After breakfast at the hotel, go for a city tour of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Located on the Helsinki archipelago, the sea is always close by. Your Helsinki city tour will take you through the busy Market square and the magnificent Helsinki Cathedral overlooking the Senate square. While there, you will also see the historical Finlandia Hall, the Sibelius monument and the New Opera House among many fascinating sights. After the tour, transfer to board your overnight cruise to Stockholm. Check the Entertainment program onboard for the ongoing late night music shows. While waiting for the show to start, have a walk on the Promenade shopping street, enjoy a live music performance at one of the bars or head to the spa area. Enjoy dinner incl. drinks onboard. Day 3: Stockholm
After breakfast on the cruise, disembark to the Swedish capital of Stockholm. Known as “The Venice of the North”, Stockholm is situated on the Stockholm archipelago, and is spread between 14 islands. The Old Town or Gamla Stan is still one of the most popular places to visit with its fascinating, narrow cobble-stoned alleys and colourful facades. Your Stockholm city tour will take you through Djurgården island – home to some of the most famous galleries, museums and monuments. On your way, you will pass by the Stockholm City Hall, which hosts the annual Nobel Prize ceremony, the Stockholm Cathedral and the Royal Palace – one of the largest in Europe. Afternoon free at leisure and enjoy dinner in an Indian restaurant in the evening. MEALS: Breakfast & Indian dinner
Day 4: Stockholm
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a day at leisure. Try some of the numerous activities and attractions Stockholm has to offer. If you choose to go back to Djurgården island you can visit the most famous Vasa museum, the interactive Abba museum or Skansen open-air museum, which exhibits Swedish every-day-life from different time periods. Another option on your free day at leisure is to take a tour with SkyView and see Stockholm from the top of Ericsson Globe - the world’s largest spherical building. You can also enjoy a laid-back boat tour of the Stockholm archipelago. And remember to save some time to enjoy a fika – the local name for a coffee break, accompanied by cake in a cosy cafe. Day 5: Stockholm - Oslo
After breakfast at the hotel, head to Oslo, Norway. Enjoy a trip through Southern Sweden, which passes by beautiful lakes. One of them is Lake Vänern, which is also the largest in the country. Look out for the traditional wooden houses, standing out on the lake’s shore with its bright red colours. Towards the Norwegian border, the landscape changes and becomes more lush and covered with forest. You will pass by beautiful houses, used by locals during their holidays as part of the Scandinavian tradition of spending time in the outdoors. On arrival to Oslo, enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant. MEALS: Breakfast & Indian dinner
Day 6: Oslo - Geilo
After breakfast at the hotel, head to a city tour around the Norwegian capital. Known as “The Viking Capital”, Oslo has many fascinating museums and beautiful sights to offer. Your Oslo city tour will take you to the most famous and interesting places in the city, like the famous pedestrian Karl Johan street, the Royal Palace, the Opera house by the waterfront and the National Theatre and the Parliament. You will pass by the medieval Akershus fortress, built in the 13th century. There will be time for a pleasant stroll through Frogner Park (Vigeland Park) famous for the controversial sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. After a pleasant city tour, you will head inland to Geilo – one of Norway’s most famous destinations. Enjoy local dinner at the hotel. MEALS: Breakfast & Indian dinner.
Day 7: Geilo - Bergen
After breakfast at the hotel, head to the train station for an adventure full of amazing nature, waterfalls and fjord views. You will be embarking on the famous Norway in a Nutshell tour. Take the train to Myrdal to arrive at one of the most picturesque train stations in Norway. From there, get on the legendary Flåmsbana train to enjoy a fascinating trip to Flåm, full of amazing views and learn about the interesting story of how the railway was built. You will also get the chance to see the Kjosfossen waterfall at the stopping place, specifically built to allow passengers the chance to admire its beauty. Once in Flåm, you will embark on a magnificent Nærøyfjord mini cruise. Look out for more views of waterfalls and beautiful small villages along the way. On arrival to Gudvangen, transfer to Bergen. Day 8: Bergen - Stavanger
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a ride with the Fløibanen funicular, which will take you to mount Fløyen (320m above sea level). Remember to take your camera for the fantastic view at the top. Take the funicular back and enjoy more of the charming city. Later, embark on a ferry to Stavanger. While on board, you will have a chance to admire the fjord and the Norwegian coast. Arrive to Stavanger in the evening and enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant. MEALS: Breakfast & Indian dinner
Day 9: Stavanger - Kristiansand
After breakfast at the hotel, go out for a mesmerising Lysefjord fjord cruise to Pulpit Rock. Surrounded by breath-taking views of mountains, fjords and long, white beaches, Stavanger is one of South Norway’s gems. The fjord cruise will take you on a memorable tour to Vagabond’s Cave and Hengjane Falls before reaching the majestic Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock). Enjoy the striking scenery from the comfort of the boat or venture out for a breath of fresh Norwegian air. On arrival back to Stavanger, your fjord adventure continues on your way to Kristiansand – the southernmost point of your Norwegian tour. Enjoy the picturesque trip along the Jæren coast. The serpentine roads are a perfect way to admire the unique coastal landscapes and splendid little villages. MEALS: Breakfast & Indian dinner
Day 10: Kristiansand - Aarhus - Copenhagen
After breakfast at the hotel, head to the pier and embark on the ferry to Hirtshals, Denmark. You are now in Jutland that contains Denmark’s only land border with mainland Europe. On arrival to Denmark, transfer to Aarhus, the region’s largest city. European capital of culture in 2017, Aarhus has a variety of historical and art museums to offer to its visitors. On arrival, take a guided tour back in time at one of Denmark’s most unique attractions – The Old Town (Den Gamle By). The open-air museum displays the life of Danes from the 20s to the 70s with original houses representing different regions of the country. At the end of your tour, transfer to Copenhagen. On your way, you will pass over the Little Belt and the Great Belt bridges, connecting the two main Danish islands with the mainland. Enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant in Copenhagen. Day 11: Copenhagen
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a city tour of Copenhagen, full of historical buildings and ancient streets. The tour will take you to some of the symbols of the city like the Little Mermaid and the colourful harbour of Nyhavn with its charming outdoor restaurants and picturesque cafés. Continue to the Gefion fountain, the Royal residence Amalienborg Palace, Christiansborg Castle, home to the Danish Parliament, the Royal Opera House, and many more beautiful sights. At the end of the tour, head to a Grand Canal Tour and admire the city from the water. In the evening, enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant. MEALS: Breakfast & Indian dinner.
