About the tour

Gujarat is home to magnificent landscapes filled with historically priceless structures and temples. The world’s tallest statue, the Statue of Unity, was erected in Kevadia, now known as Ekta Nagar, a manmade wonder of the world. Our trip starts from Dwarka, which we head for directly after touching down in Ahmedabad, where we’ll stay for two nights before visiting Mahatma Gandhi’s first home, Kirti Mandir. Sasan Gir has become a true tourist spot filled with entertainment from Jungle Park Safari and then Diu, which is blessed with beautiful coasts. The old ruins of Lothal where mounds of the dead sprawls are not to be missed before we visit Kevadia and finally return back home from Ahmedabad.

Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Ahmedabad & Transfer To Dwarka (400 Km, 8-hour Drive)

After arrival in Ahmedabad, our representative will greet you and we head for Dwarka. If the road is smooth, the drive to Dwarka takes around 8 hours. Once we reach the city, we will check you into the hotel. If time allows us, we’ll go for Darshan Shree Dwarkadhish Mandir for Evening Sandhya Aarti. Enjoy your dinner and we’ll return to the hotel to rest for the night.

Day 2: Dwarka Full-day Tour - “a City Of Preserved Ancients”

  • Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel before we visit the Dwarkadhish Temple and visit the Gomti River. Visitors can take a holy dip in the river, which flows water believed to absolve humans of their sins. Then we head to one of twelve Jyotirlingas, the Nageshwar Jyotirling, where a massive 80-feet tall statue of Lord Shiva can be found.
  • Then we head to Bet Dwarka, but not without stopping at Gopi Talav, which is a mid-size lake with religious importance to the locals where Shree Krishna was said to play with his childhood friends and Gopi, the milkmaid. Then we ride the boat to head for the small island of Bet Dwarka, indulging in the beautiful panoramic style along the way.
  • On our way back, we’ll stop at the Rukmini Devi Temple, where the Hindu goddess Rukmini is revered to. The architecturally rich structure contains fervor towards the deity worshipped and is said to have stood for more than 2,500 years, albeit it may have gone through several major reconstructions. Even so, its latest outer and inner exterior possibly belonged to the work of artisans from the 12th century.
  • We return to the hotel for dinner and let you rest for the night in Dwarka.

Day 3: Transfer From Dwarka To Somnath Enroute Porbandar (250 Km, 5-hour Drive) - “mahatma Gandhi’s Origin”

  • After breakfast, we set off to Somnath, which is a 5-hour drive, 250-km long journey. Enroute, we make a quick stop in Porbandar, which is the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. We’ll be graced by the first house of the social activist, Kirti Mandir, which is now open as a museum dedicated to the man, filled with the man’s presence.
  • In Somnath, we directly go to Sandhya Arti Darshan at Somnath Mahadev Temple before checking into the hotel. We spend overnight in Somnath.

Day 4: Transfer From Somnath To Sasan Gir (60 Km, 1-hour Drive)

  • Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before we check out and drive to Sasan Gir. Upon arrive, we’ll check into the hotel. After you’ve had your lunch, we’ll take you to Devaliya Park Safari, the Sasan Jungle Safari where you can meet lions, leopards and hop on a jeep tour around the park. Safari charges on direct payment basis.
  • We’ll drive you back to the resort just in time for you to find dinner before we spend overnight in Sasan Gir.

Day 5: Transfer From Sasan Gir To Diu (100 Km, 3-hour Drive)

  • We head for Sasan Jungle Safari at the crack of dawn for a unique experience where lions roam freely around the protected wildlife habitat of the giant cats. The National Park has also become the only place outside Africa where visitors can view lions in their natural habitat, alongside other flora and fauna that live within the area. Safair charges are on direct payment basis. After the safari trip, we return to the hotel for breakfast and check out and head for Diu.
  • We check into the hotel upon arrival and go on half-day sightseeing around the city. We head first to St. Paul Church, a historic church built in 1610 that made it one of the oldest baroque-style churches in India. Diu Fortress is the next location, which is located not far from the church. The Portuguese fortification that was built in the 16th century is now a tourist attraction that is well-maintained, with much of the original construction still intact.
  • We’ll also visit the INS Khukri Memorial, a Type 14 frigate of the Indian Navy, sunk on December 9 1971 during the Indo-Pak War. And not far from there is the Diu Museum, which is set up inside St. Thomas Church that was built in 1598. Not to be missed as well is the Shell Museum, where sea shells from all over the world, which are part of a personal collection, are displayed in this museum that overlooks Nagoa Beach.
  • Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Transfer From Diu To Bhavnagar With Sightseeing (200 Km, 4-hour Drive)

  • From Diu, we head to Bhavnagar after you fill yourself with breakfast. We check into the hotel before visiting Gandhi Smriti, an institution built in memory of Mahatma Gandhi. The museum was also the very house where Mahatma Gandhi spent the last 144 days of his life and recalled the man’s collection of books in his library. It is also a gallery of pictures of the prolific writer Bapu’s Life.
  • In the evening, we will visit Takhteshwar Temple, one of the oldest temples in Gujarat that was entirely built in marble. Perched atop the hillock, it overlooks the city of Bhavnagar under it. After dinner, we will take you back to the hotel and stay overnight in Bhavnagar.

Day 7: Transfer From Bhavnagar To Ahmedabad Enroute Lothal (200 Km, 4-hour Drive)

  • After breakfast, we’ll check out and go to Ghogha Beach to take a relaxing walk on the shores. Then we head to Aksharwadi Temple, a popular place that’s become the symbol of the culture and spirituality of Bhavnagar, adorned with intricate carvings that were aimed to worship Lord Swaminarayan. We’ll also visit Victoria Park before leaving for Ahmedabad.
  • Enroute, we’ll stop to visit Lothal, a site where the remains of the 4500-year-old Indus Valley Civilization could be found. The name Lothal means “mound of the dead,” referring to the rock mounds that store ancient artifacts and traces of life from 2500 BCE.
  • In Ahmedabad, we’ll check in and take you for a leisure time exploring and shopping Lal Darwaja, a busy shopping centre where hints of old architecture, such as the stone latticework windows and the Bhadra Fort, can be seen. The Law Garden Night Market is also a perfect spot to explore street food in Ahmedabad. After dinner, we’ll stay overnight at the hotel in Ahmedabad.

Day 8: Kevadia Excursion Tour (200 Km, 4-hour Drive) - “a Must-see Tourist Spot”

  • After breakfast, we will go on an excursion to Kevadia, which is around 4 hours away by land. The “Statue of Unity” is the world’s tallest statue that stands at an impressive height of 182 meters, a sight to behold you can see up close at an extra cost. And not far from here is the Sardar Patel Zoological Park, which has a Jungle Safari and is home to over 170 species of animals, including those from America, Asia, Africa, and Australia, in their natural habitat. All entry fees and excursions tickets on direct payment basis.
  • We take you back to Ahmedabad in the evening to rest for the night after dinner.

Day 9: Departure From Ahmedabad

After breakfast, we’ll leave you on your own until the time for your departure arrives. We’ll take you to the airport or railway station and see you off as you say your goodbye to Gujarat and go back home.

  • CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS
  • A reservation should be considered cancelled only after receiving our confirmation of such cancellation. If a cancellation is received less than 60 days prior to the arrival of passenger, the cancellation expenses will be charged according to the following table:
  • · 14 – 08 days before arrival: 50% of total price
  • · 07 – 00 days or if have no show of passenger: 100% of total price.
  • There will be no refund for unused services or changes in itineraries made by passengers without permission.
  • BAGGAGE
  • It is allowed 02 suitcase normal sized per passenger in all transports. Passenger shall be fully responsible for their luggage and personal belongings during the course of the trip. Regarding to land transport, luggage and other personal belongings should be kept with you, whatever part of the vehicle that will be placed and will be transported at the risk of the user. We recommend users are present in all manipulations of loading and unloading of baggage. Baggage on air transport, rail, sea or driving, conditions of transport companies will apply, being the ticket passage, the document binds the mentioned companies to the passenger. If client suffer any baggage damage, loss or delay, the passenger must present a claim against the Transport Company. For transport of large volumes of luggage such as bicycles, surfboards, etc, a supplement will apply (please consult). The tour packages in economy class can have a piece of 15kg in air transport. The company may charge a supplement or can refuse baggage that exceed this weight or parts. Recommended not to store valuables, medication, passport, documents or money inside baggage. If you want to have this procedure, make a statement before travelling.
  • TIPS / TAXES / TICKETS
  • Tickets to museums and sites during excursions are included. Not included any kind of tip, and the tips are at your discretion.
  • TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
  • Passenger must have valid passport, and visas for the countries that require them. Under 18 years old must have an authorization letter written and signed by their parents or guardians as such document can be requested by any authority. In the case of loss of a document for passenger such as hotel voucher, ferries tickets, air tickets, etc, we will not be held responsible and the penalty that will apply for a new booking and issuance of such documents.
