Spain is one of the most diverse and visually stunning nations of Europe. It is a country of passion, excitement and vibrancy unlike any other in Western Europe. 'Joie de vivre' may be a French phrase, but it could have been written about Spain - for the Spanish certainly know how to live.

Today you will have the opportunity to experience the city on your pace with the sightseeing Hop on-Hop off tour. Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is a Mediterranean and cosmopolitan city with Roman remains, medieval quarters and beautiful examples of 20th century Modernism and avant-garde. It is no surprise that emblematic constructions by the Catalan architects Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Doménech i Montaner have been declared World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO. The city’s original site, which was surrounded by walls in the Roman period, is today the Barrio Gótico (Gothic Quarter). Along narrow streets, with small squares and charming corners, you will find civil and religious Gothic constructions, and medieval palaces standing around the impressive cathedral. The Plaça del Rei is a square with an array of spectacular buildings and at the Plaça de Sant Jaume you can find important institutions, such as the Regional Parliament and the City Hall. On the other hand, one of the best places to catch the rhythm of the city is called Las Ramblas, one of the main arteries of the historic quarter. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day Trip To Formentera
Spend a day in paradise in this day trip by ferry to the island of Formentera. This beautiful island is just two miles to the south of Ibiza but it is a world away from the hustle and bustle of its bigger brasher sister. It's also a paradise for sunworshippers with some of the best beaches in the Med. Catch a modern ferry from the port of Ibiza across to La Sabina, Formentera's sleepy capital and return whenever you feel like - there are plenty of crossings to choose from. Formentera is the smallest inhabited island in the Balearics. You'll find dazzlingly whitewashed sugar cube houses, unspoilt sandy beaches and unbelievably crystal clear waters. The whole island seems virtually untouched by the modern world - you'll find few cars and no high rise buildings. It is like travelling back in time to the Mediterranean that existed before mass tourism. Return back to Ibiza for overnight stay.
Day 9: Departure From Ibiza
Today morning, check-out from your hotel. You will be transferred to the airport to catch your return flight.
