Pizza 49 has recently opened in the neighborhood of Cihangir in a building that has been rented four years ago; but used as a production studio, an exhibition area and an artists' studio until recently. Pizza 49 has been opened by the Yunatçı family. It is a place that focuses solely on making pizzas. There are 18 different types. Only one out of the 18 is a seasonal pizza that requires seasonal ingredients and is thus not available during summers. Pizza 49 does not serve any other main dish or appetizers apart from its legendary pizzas; but it does serve Bozcaada style breakfasts. Bozcaada is an island on the Agean Sea, that is typicall wellknown as a relax vacation area and wine harvests. Bozcaada breakfasts are legendary and many Istanbul residents tend to wait for their next visit to the island for a proper breakfast. With Pizza 49 they won't have to wait anymore. The host brings all ingredients and the wines from Bozcaada as well.
