Adare Guesthouse is a family managed guesthouse within a five minute’s walk to the city centre of the old medieval Galway city. The guesthouse was the first official guesthouse to be opened in Ireland on the first day of July 1968 and is now been managed by the second generation of the Conroy family.The premier location is only five minutes walking distance to the train and bus stations. It's in close proximity to the beach and with stunning views of Galway Bay, County Clare mountains, Connemara and the Aran Islands in the distance, they are surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland.Refurbished with bright new colours, fresh flowers, china and silver you can enjoy your choice of breakfast overlooking the beautiful patio area. After breakfast you can spend a while enjoying the unique organic vegetable garden and glass house. Rooms cater for all needs from couples to families and large groups. Adare Guesthouse has been providing accommodation for over 40 years to overseas visitors as well as Irish visitors. They have been closely associated with the theatre industry and have provided accommodation to many famous actors over the years. There is free secure parking for all guests.There are 11 guest rooms, all ensuite, with direct dial telephone, hairdryer, cable TV, complementary Galway organic herbal teas, in addition to a large selection of speciality coffee drinks. There is an iron and iron board available on request. Complimentary WiFi is available for all guests. Guests in Adare can avail of the comfortable sitting room where you have access to a selection of old and modern Galway books for quite relaxation. Adare Guesthouse is located within a five minute walk of Galway’s finest restaurants and bars. Quay Street, also known as the Latin Quarter, is just over O’Brien’s Bridge; it has Galway’s finest selection of French, Italian, Thai and Irish restaurants.Galway is a great place for shopping, from the usual high street brands to original antique stores Galway has the lot including the famous bustling market where you will find hundreds of stalls selling fresh produce and locally produced crafts. Galway is famous the world over for its love of music. The streets of Galway are always lined with buskers and street entertainers. You can also visit many of Galway’s Traditional Music pubs including The Crane, Taffes Bar, Tig Coili and The Quays. Galway has the highest concentration of golf Courses in the west of Ireland. The Galway Golf Course is within walking distance of the Adare Guesthouse in Salthill. There are many other courses surrounding the city including Glenlo Abbey and the Galway Golf resort. For anglers, not only is Galway blessed with its location to the Atlantic Ocean it is also sitting on Lough Corrib and close to many rivers.
