Aladin

Barfüsserplatz 17 Cuisines: Arabic

About

Magic lamps, unsurprisingly, are part of the decor here. They have a large hookah in the window, and smaller versions in the form of lamps on the tables. This Near Eastern charm extends throughout the whole restaurant, and service is friendly and informal. The menu includes tabbule, chickpeas, and Lebanese sausages. Fortunately there are a large number of vegetarian dishes. The meals are delicious, and, on a Basel scale, reasonably priced. The drinks menu includes Arabian tea and Lebanese wine, which the more experimental among us may like to try.
