Alexandra Hospital is a 400-bed hospital located in the south-western part of Singapore . Nestled in a 110,000 square metres (1,200,000 sq ft) land, the hospital is lined with mostly colonial style buildings built since the late 1930s. Under British rule, it was known as the British Military Hospital . It is remembered as the site of a massacre during the World War II Japanese occupation .
