On sale here are embroidered cloth amulets and hangings; clothing touched with traditional Ethiopian designs; kipot (yarmulkes), colorful mezuzzot, and other Judaica items; and traditional ceramics, all made by recent Jewish immigrants from Ethiopia. This store is the main outlet for a project that preserves the craft traditions of Ethiopian women, and helps build self-confidence and incomes of new immigrant families. The staff can advise on other places where you can find special Ethiopian crafts. The store is open Sunday to Thursday 10am to 7pm.
