Amphitheater Gardens are a good place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the Golden Mile. The park has a pond, fountains and sub-tropical plants, to transport you far away from the busy Durban streets. However, if you want to shop till you drop, there is a market in the gardens on most Sundays. A good place to pick up a gift or souvenir, or just soak up Durban's rich colors and vibrancy. The park is located near the entrance to North Beach between Snell and the end of Lower Marine. Free entry. Call for more information.
