About

The official residence of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of the Diocese of Trinidad and Tobago is located opposite the Queen's Park Savannah in Port of Spain and is one of the buildings known as "The Magnificent Seven." In 1903, then Archbishop Dr. Patrick Flood purchased the land and began construction. The building, which favours a Romanesque-Irish style of architecture, was completed in 1904. Its previous occupant, Archbishop Anthony Pantin, called the residence home for 30 years until his death in March 2000. The house is now occupied by the country's ninth Archbishop, Edward Gilbert.
