Athlone Regional Sports Centre is both popular and successful, it strives to provide a high quality facility and a level of service that is second to none. Programmes and activities are varied regularly so that we can offer all our users the most up to date classes in fitness and health.The centre boasts an extensive variety of exercise and fitness equipment. State of the art gym over looking Athlone Town F.C, modern, spacious and fully air conditioned. Over 40 pieces of world class equipment. Treadmills, cross trainers, bikes and rowers, satellite TV with cardio theatre on all C.V. machines. Weight training machine, extensive free weights area, personalised training plan, personalised fitness testing, including body fat testing. Filtered water, full library of magazines. First time users of the gym must book to meet an instructor.Athlone Regional Sports Centre offers a superb twenty five metre, six lane, heated swimming pool with a separate children's pool along with a poolside jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The swimming pool is open seven days a week all year round. With early morning lane swimming to lunchtime and afternoon sessions, our current timetable has a lot to offer all busy schedules, including evening family swims and adults only sessions. And the créche allows parents to enjoy a swim or a workout, while professional child minders look after their children.The meeting room is available to hire. Overlooking the poolside area, this bright and comfortable meeting room is available for the daytime, evening and weekends and the all weather pitch is a FIFA recognised full sized international pitch, which can divide in two. In use by soccer, hockey, rugby, hurling and Gaelic football teams, the pitch is also hired out by local groups for five and nine a side games. It is floodlit and has a surface that can be played on in any weather conditions.The sports hall is available for hire to sporting clubs and teams. With a wooden sprung floor, it is an ideal space for a wide variety of activities. High standard of children's activities such as birthday parties, Halloween, Easter and summer camps and acclaimed Athlone Sports Academy (ASA) for kids.
