This is a purpose built outdoor pursuits facility, seeking to develop the personal development of young people. The types of courses vary from water sports to dry land activities. All safety equipment for water sports such as wet suits, buoyancy aids, etc, will be provided, along with helmets and harnesses for rock climbing. Prices depend on the duration of the course.Activities include canoeing, windsurfing, topper sailing, bogie boarding, pier jumping, rock climbing, abseiling, hill walking, mountain climbing, orienteering, shore fishing and overnight canoe trips. Other activities available locally are horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, Scuba Diving, Water Skiing, Deep Sea Fishing, 18 hole championship golf course, trips to Clare Island and Inishturk, educational trips and historical and archeological trips. Impromptu sing songs are a feature of life at Lecanvey when daytime activities are over. A five minute walk will bring you to one of the local pubs for a traditional music and sing song session. Or if you wish to trip to one of Westport's or Louisburgh's traditional pubs or night clubs, they are only 10 minutes away by bus.
