When youre in Port Augusta, call in and visit the Australian Arid Lands Botanic Gardens. Enjoy a relaxing stroll through a range of natural and themed gardens including our innovative and award-winning AridSmart Display and our nationally significant Eremophila and Rare Plants collections. Or take one of our longer garden walks that wind through dappled woodlands, fragile red sand dune country and chenopod plain and claypan country. Spy on native birds from one of our bird hides and then enjoy spectacular views of the ancient Flinders Ranges from the historic Matthew Flinders Red Cliff Lookout. Then meander back to our award-winning visitor centre and relax al fresco with a freshly brewed espresso or a glass of wine and some delicious country fare at the Bluebush Cafe. Youll find us on the north side of Port Augusta on the Stuart Highway, the main road to Darwin.
