Founded back in 1974, good sailing instruction combined with an enjoyable holiday is the main aim of the Baltimore Sailing School. They are based out of Baltimore, County Cork. The minimum age accepted is nine years old. Five-day courses run every week for beginners and those with some sailing experience. The craft used are custom built National 18's, Wayfarers, Lasers and 420's.Life jackets, which are supplied by the school are worn when on the water. Their day boats are equipped with anchor, flares and oars. When the boats leave the harbour a safety boat always accompanies them.While attending the school you can stay at a variety of accommodation, including hotels, guesthouses, self-catering houses and a hostel.
