Enjoy these and more during a two hour boat trip with Baltimore Sea Safari.A fifteen minutes harbour thrill trip, a forty five minutes evening adventure trip, a water taxi service and private or commercial charters are also available. Full commentary is provided on the wildlife, the sights and the history of the area during all of our trips. Listen to the sound of the ocean with our on board hydrophone.Our sea safari trip is two hours in duration and is run twice daily at 11am and 2pm (from May to October) This is a thrilling, fun packed, wildlife and coastal sightseeing tour. Passengers can enjoy close up views of the many beautiful islands, sheer cliffs, sea arches, sea caves, lighthouses, signal towers, castles, golden beaches and secluded bays and inlets. Porpoises and dolphins are regularly seen, often playing in the boats wake. Also, keep a lookout for whales and basking sharks, which can be seen off our coastline. The highlight for passengers is when they visit the local seal colonies which occupy the shoreline and the seals just love to play up for the cameras.Evening adventure trip at 6.30pm daily. Three different routes are run for this trip: (1) Sherkin and Kedge Islands Trip. This is a circumnavigation of the historic Sherkin Island, with its 14th Century fort and friary built in 1460. Passing high crumbling cliffs while visiting grey seal colonies and seeing a wide variety of birdlife at Kedge Island. (2) Ilen River Trip. This is a tranquil journey of four miles up the Ilen river to Oldcourt, passing through beautiful scenery, old churches, beautiful homes and a castle. Also visiting a seal colony on nearby islands. (3) Roaringwater Bay Trip takes you out of Baltimore Harbour, past Heir Island with its golden beaches and peaceful way of life. From there you enter the bay with its mussel fish farms and the 14th Century Kilcoe Castle (home of Jeremy Irons). Enjoy a stop at the local seal colony before returning to Baltimore.Our Harbour Thrill Trip is run 4.30pm daily and also available upon request. Experience the thrill of a fast boat ride and enjoy the sights of Baltimore Harbour from a different viewpoint.Baltimore Sea Safari also operate a water taxi service to the islands. The boat is also available for private, commercial charter and is ideal for school trips, birthday, hen, stag parties and family outings.
