What's "Sandwizardry" Well, it's a term used by the folks at Between Two Buns, and after a bit of one of their amazing sandwiches, you will understand that each bite has a little bit of magic in it. When you walk into the space, you will be greeted by a wonderful smokey aroma that you will perhaps later taste in one of their sandwiches, depending on what you order. The tall ceilings and open space allow for plenty of air-flow, so you won't leave smelling like a smokehouse, or be overwhelmed by it. It's the perfect hint of smokiness in the room that gets your palate ready to chow down. The menu isn't huge, but focuses on creating the perfect sandwich combination, which they succeed at doing. The "Jerk-It" is made up of grilled chicken thighs that have been well marinated, a few slices of crispy fried yam (think almost tempura), topped with a cabbage slaw, all inside a baguette. You won't regret ordering it! There are a few other choices, including a vegetarian option that's made with Moroccan flavors, also a big hit. Watch out for daily soup and sandwich features, as they switch these up often. You will also find a Canadian classic on the menu, poutine, that's made from Kennebec potatoes, house smoked meat gravy and Quebec cheese curds. For those that really love their poutine, you can order five pounds of it! If you're a sandwich lover, Between Two Buns is for you!
