Bhutanath temple is on one shore of the famous Agastya teerth in Badami.The two temples of Bhuthanatha face the Agastya Lake. The temple depicts the early phases and modes of South Indian architectural styles and is made of local sandstone.Both the temples are dedicated to the Lord Shiva, who is present here in the form of the God of Souls or Bhuthanatha. The boulders at the back of this temple have sculptures of few Jain figures and avatars of Vishnu
