Bijli Mahadev Temple is located at a height of around 2,000 m on Mathan hill in the proximity of Bhuntar. The temple is constructed in a Kash style and is devoted to Shiva. Tourists visiting the temple can find 60 ft high flagstaff and it is said that Shivaling breaks into pieces whenever there is a flash of light. Later the priest rejoins the pieces with butter and covers it with the paste of sattu. It is believed that praying at this temple brings rain and good crop. Moreover, every year on the eve of Shivratri, devotees carry chariot. Tourists can also see the beautiful view of Kullu and Parvati Valley from the peak of the hill.
