Bistro La Saveur

Guéliz Cuisines: Asian, Thai

About

I'm usually not keen on eating in hotel restaurants while in Morocco, but this one, attached to the Le Caspien Hotel, is definitely a cut above the norm. The menu is a mix of French, Italian, and Thai, and the service is of a profoundly higher standard than the usual in-house restaurant. The French and Italian dishes are your classical meat, seafood, and pasta dishes, in addition to pizzas made in the restaurant's wood oven. For something different, try the duck terrine with pistachios in mustard sauce, or the prawn and ricotta ravioli. The Thai menu includes soups, salads, curries (yellow, red, and green), and noodle or rice stir-fries. Diners are given a choice of three dining areas: an enclosed, street-side canopy, the restaurant proper at the rear of the small lobby, and beside the swimming pool. All three areas are decked out with modern furniture and white linen and offer a surprising amount of intimacy.
