Ranchi Lake is a man-made lake which is located at the base of Ranchi hill. The lake was constructed during the British period by Colonel Onsely. The lake is quiet big, spread over 52 acres & is a favorite spot for boating. The water in the lake is calm & clean and reflects the surrounding hill & the greenery giving it a scenic beauty. One can watch the beautiful Sunrise and sunsets from this spot. Ranchi Lake is also a good place for bird watching, one can spot different varieties of birds chirping around. Children especially love to come to this place to enjoy the boating.
