The Boca de Vaca spring was known to be a major source of supply of water to the city. However even today the people of Panaji queue up here with buckets to use the water, as it is known to have medicinal properties. It is also used for drinking by the people of Panjim. The Boca de Vaca spring is one of the two springs that exist in Panaji Goa.
