It's a jungle out there, but this Bandra hangout is dancing to the beat of its own drum. Bonobo (Bar.Love.Food.), named after an endangered ape living in the heart of the Congo, is popular and packed. Soft lighting, an outdoor terrace with Bandra's high-rises for a backdrop, a funky bar and drinks menu seem to be reeling in Mumbai's suburban crowd by the dozens. With live bands and various different events, Bonobo also has a new drinks menu that includes a sparkling wine Sangria Pitcher (Rs.1,370+), Fresh Fruit Margaritas, and Bonobo special cocktails like Mojito Nico, Vanilla Ice, What's Up Doc (a dark rum-based cocktail with fresh carrot juice and ginger), and Funky Monk (dark rum, cola and coffee). With Monterey Jack, Gruyere, Mozarella, Grilled Chicken and 3-cheese Beef Quesadillas as starters, as well as Root Vegetable Seekh Kebabs, Lamb Seekh Kebabs, Mini Lamb Pitas, and the interestingly named Angry Birds (Chicken Meat balls with Scarmoza cheese).
