Bookworm

About

Owners Eliana and Fanny opened Bookworm in 1984 "out of a love for books". The first of its kind, the shop introduced the concept of the café-bookstore to Israel. Tucked away in a leafy corner of Basel Square, the store specialises in psychology and art titles, with a large English language stock of specialist books on topics such as graphics, architecture, psychotherapy, child development and design. A selection of books and newspapers are left in the café, for customers who wish to read. There is pleasant classical music to relax to and a selection of light, dairy meals on the menu, such as quiches, toasts, bagels and jacket potatoes (an average main course is NIS 30 or less). Check the blackboard for daily specials.
