An Adelaide icon with a great location, Botanic Bar is situated on the corner of East and North Terrace, and has recently gone through a resurgence. With its classic decor, it feels like you're drinking in an old chateau or private library. One of the oldest hotels in Adelaide, it's the kind of place where you'll find the smaller details of years gone by, like the branded boxes of matches and a properly well stocked cocktail bar - in fact, it is one of the few bars to still supply flaming cocktail. Botanic Bar is a great place to start the night, however it is also known for getting line-ups of late, meaning it's not a bad place to stay on for the night. Friday and Saturday nights are best for this venue.
