In the center of Lugano, this small 40-seat restaurant is a place beloved of locals who go here for freshly prepared, good food, washed down with a variety of local wines sold by the glass or bottle. The decor is rather chic with its rustic wood interior, and the traditional ambience transports you over the border to Italy itself. The menu changes daily, but some fine examples include a filet of tuna with fresh artichokes or risotto with radicchio with mussels laced with a black squid ink. We are especially fond of the savory sautéed lamb chops with potatoes and red onions. One of our all-time favorite desserts is the fig sorbet.
