About

Brazil's Northeast is famous for its delicious, filling and often spicy food, and this relaxed Leblon cafe is a great place to sample Northeastern fare. The walls are hung with colorful cultural artefacts from Northeastern Brazil, and the menu is chockful of delicacies such as Tapioca - tapioca flour is made into a crisp pancake and filled with all manner of sweet or savoury (or even sweet and savoury) ingredients. Here, there are dozens to choose from, ranging from traditional cheese to more adventurous sun dried beef with batata baroa - a native root vegetable. On Saturdays, the breakfasts are a real feast, featuring cakes, tapioca, corn breads, fruit, cheese and excellent coffee and juices.
