As scenic settings go, it doesn't get much better than cafe, and anyone who's seen the video for Snoop Dogg and Pharell's Beautiful will instantly recognise this beautiful spot. With a dramatic mountain backdrop, tables and chairs sit on the patio of a gorgeous mansion house (now an art school), around a picturesque pool (note - not for swimming in!. Coffee is good here, as are the cakes, and Cafe du Lage makes a wonderfully romantic place to refuel during a tour of Parque Lage and the nearby Botanical Gardens.
