Gedongsongo Temple on the slopes of Mount Ungaran and built in the 8th century AD. Gedongsongo name given by locals to the temple complex. Gedongsongo derived from the Javanese, "Gedong" means house or building, "Songo" means the nine. So the meaning of the word is nine Gedongsongo nine (groups of) buildings.Pleasant place, green, cool, fresh, healthy, natural, romantic, wonderful scenery, historic,friendly people, tours are cheap, easy transportation.
