Built in 1910, Cashel Schoolhouse has been lovingly converted to provide modern self-catering accommodation while retaining its original features and character.Unique and spacious, Cashel Schoolhouse is located in a rural area just 3km from Swinford Town. Set in its own grounds with lawn, paved patio area and barbecue, it is an ideal base for touring Mayo, Galway and Sligo.The interior of the house is very spacious and ideal for a family or small groups of anglers, golfers, walkers, cyclists or artists. The lounge has its original wooden floor, an open stone fireplace, TV and DVD player, while the raised gallery with bar and reading area is perfect for quiet relaxation or play area for children. The large kitchen/dining area is very well equipped and has a separate utility area with washing machine and dryer. Cashel Schoolhouse has four bedrooms, two of which are ensuite (one double and one twin). The other twin and single have wash hand basins. There is also a separate bathroom with shower. A cot and high chair are available on request and bed linen and towels are supplied free.While staying at Cashel Schoolhouse, guests have their choice of activities and attractions, with Sligo, Galway and Connemara all within easy reach. Angling is available for salmon or trout on the River Moy, Gweestion, Pollagh, Lough Conn and Callow lakes. Coarse angling is available within 15km and deep sea and shore fishing within 45km. Boat hire and ghillies can be arranged. Additionally, horse riding and walking can be enjoyed locally. There are also fantastic golf courses, sandy beaches, seaweed baths, surfing and water sports within an hour’s drive.An information pack with suggested day trips and local entertainment is provided.
