This modernistic restaurant serves seafood almost as good as its spectacular setting on the ground floor of the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out on the ocean in one direction, to the city's lively Neptune Park on the other. Reserve an outdoor table in summer to be treated to the park's nightly life entertainment. You can fill up at the raw bar with steamed shellfish or with a "seafood tower," Catch 31's signature dish -- two or three plates stacked high with chilled crabmeat, Maine lobster, Chesapeake Bay crab legs, and a few other items with accompanying sauces. The menu changes as soon as fresh catch is delivered, so keep your eye on the ever-changing specials board for the latest arrivals. Meat lovers can opt for high-quality steaks, ribs, and chops, and there's a nightly pasta for vegetarians. At night part of the restaurant becomes the fine-dining Salacia (like, $60 for a Kobe steak).
