This is a recently opened branch of a family business that has been operating in Cairo's Khan el Khalili since before World War II. They sell a variety of semiprecious stones from all over the world, but they specialize in Sinai turquoise, the translucent variety of the stone that the Pharaohs began to mine on the peninsula millennia ago. They also have an interesting stock of Aswan jade and Upper Egyptian agate. Staff speak English, and prices are stable and generally fair. Daily 10am to 2pm and 4 to 8pm. MC and V accepted.
